(Sarasota, Florida 2/20/19) Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) announces that it has been granted rights by Marvel Entertainment, LLC to create a lineup of certification labels featuring Marvel’s most iconic characters.

The agreement provides collectors with an opportunity to have their Marvel comics encapsulated with attractive CGC certification labels depicting Marvel’s greatest heroes.

The first series of labels will feature Marvel legends Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, and Captain America. The designs will be launched at Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) in March 2019. The initial series will remain available until the end of 2019 through CGC’s regular submission process. CGC plans to offer additional Marvel labels throughout the year, including an Avengers label in April 2019 to coincide with the highly anticipated “Avengers: Endgame” premiere.

“Collectors have a special relationship with the Marvel Universe and the stunning artwork that’s been created over the years by so many talented artists,” said Harshen Patel, CGC Director of Operations. “We are honored to have the opportunity to work with Marvel.”

Each Marvel label, which will be available for a $5 fee, will be offered in CGC’s Universal (blue) label & Signature Series (yellow) label formats. The labels can be selected for any Marvel book that is submitted for CGC’s grading or re-holder services.
