New Orleans or Bust! CGC Announces the 2011 Comics4kids/CGC Forums Philanthropy Drive

Posted on 12/7/2011

The executive gang at Comics4kids received special news from Wizard World. Stephen Shamus
announced that he is sponsoring a table for the charity at the upcoming New Orleans Comic Con in New Orleans, LA on January 28-29 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

The Comics4kids staff will be offering free comics to children attending the show as well as appraising and pre-screening attendees’ and dealers’ comic books in exchange for donations. In addition, they will be answering all questions related to the comic book industry, as well as making new friends and continuing to spread the great words and pictures we have all come to love!

“This is an awesome opportunity and we are very grateful to CGC and Wizard,” says C4K President Dale Moore from their headquarters in Seattle, WA. Moore is the former CGC Quality Control expert as well as a contributing writer and advisor to The Official Overstreet’s Comic Book Price Guide and other industry publications since 1987.

CGC President Paul Litch generously provided grading services and brought the latest CGC forum philanthropy drive to fruition, continuing the generous support that his company has provided for years.

CGC forum members will donate encapsulated books to auction off in conjunction with those investment grade books donated by persons such as McKibbin and Comics4kids’ El Capitan Damien Moore. “I am looking forward to networking with collectors, dealers, and fans in the Big Easy,” says Moore.

“I am happy to do what I can for Comics4Kids,” says sponsor Harley Yee who also donated books.

Interested parties can participate via the online auction to be featured on the CGC Chat Board forum at www.CGCcomics.com. Visit the beta version of the new www.comics-4-kids.org, and be sure to communicate with Moore directly at (206) 327-7436 and Comics4kids@aim.com. Contact Harley Yee at Harleycomix@aol.com Wizardworld.com.
