CGC’s Chicago Comic-Con 2009 Show Summary

On the weekend of August 6th through the 9th CGC was set up for On-Site Grading at the Chicago Comic-Con in Rosemont, IL with all tiers eligible for On-Site submission. In addition, CGC launched their Signature Series program for photos at this event. The excitement began on Thursday night, during preview night, and continued through Sunday evening. Throughout the weekend CGC received over 2500 On-Site submissions and took home over 1600 submissions for our regular services.

The booth was consistently busy with submissions and Signature Series requests. Popular artists at this convention included Mark Millar, George Perez and J.G. Jones. In addition, sketch covers were increasing in popularity and many unique sketches were obtained from the various artists in attendance.
