Authorized CGC Representative Witnessing with Mitsuhiro Arita at Booth #4807 During SDCC

Posted on 7/23/2024

CGC will have a representative present at Mitsuhiro Arita's booth during SDCC to verify signatures and streamline comic and card submissions for CGC Signature Series.

CGC is thrilled to announce that the CGC Signature Series team will be witnessing signatures by Mitsuhiro Arita — one of the most recognizable TCG artists in the world — at San Diego Comic Con on July 25-28, 2024! Arita will be signing comics and cards featuring his artwork.

Born in 1970 in Fukuoka, Japan, Arita has worked as a freelance artist for more than 20 years, with his work becoming legendarily popular in the Japanese pop culture industry. His artwork has been featured in many tabletop games, video games and TCGs, some of which include Final Fantasy XI, the Culdcept TCG and his work for Power Rangers in Japan.

Recently, Arita has made his debut in the comics industry, starting with Marvel’s Demon Wars: Scarlet Sin in 2023. Since then, he has illustrated for Marvel’s Scarlet Witch, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Black Suit & Blood and Dark Horse Comic’s Usagi Yojimbo: The Crow. Arita will also be debuting his variant cover art for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1.

Arita will be attending San Diego Comic Con alongside Stan Sakai — creator of Usagi Yojimbo — at Dogu Publishing’s booth #4807. A CGC representative will be present at the booth all weekend to witness signatures, ensuring their authenticity for grading and encapsulation with the iconic CGC Signature Series yellow label.

How to Submit

Go to booth #4807 to obtain Arita’s signature. At the booth, let the CGC Signature Series representative know that you are going to submit your signed book to CGC Signature Series. The representative will witness your signing and then seal your collectible in a tamper-evident bag.

Next, go to CGC Signature Series booth #4315 or booth CGC Booth #901 to drop off your submission. You must drop off your submission before the end of the show on July 28, 2024.

Please note that Arita will not be signing any Pokémon-related items for grading.
