The Ghost Machine Crew Joins CGC for an Exclusive In-House Private Signing

CGC welcomes the incredibly talented creators behind Ghost Machine!

CGC Signature Series is thrilled to announce an exclusive In-House Private Signing event with the phenomenal creative team behind Ghost Machine! Brad Anderson, Jason Fabok, Gary Frank, Bryan Hitch, Geoff Johns, Francis Manapul, Peter Snejbjerg, Peter J. Tomasi and Ivan Reis are some of the most brilliant minds in the modern comic industry. Over the years, they have worked on countless series for different publishers, and they recently joined forces to start up the company, Ghost Machine. 

CGC is thrilled to offer the custom "Ghost Machine" label for this Private Signing.

Brad Anderson, originally from Kenora, Ontario, began his comic career after attending the Joe Kubert school in 1996. Shortly after returning to Canada he began painting comics at Digital Chameleon where he cut his teeth on some of the top comic characters in the business. After leaving as Art Director, he began independently working on Star Wars Legacy, as well as Catwoman at DC, and Ultimate Hawkeye at Marvel. He has worked on other series such as Justice League: Darkseid War, Doomsday Clock, Dark Knight: The Master Race with Frank Miller, Batman: Three Jokers and Geiger

  • Brad Anderson Signature fee: $75 per item

Jason Fabok is a professional comic book artist, designer, and illustrator mostly known for his work for DC Comics. After being mentored by comic superstar, David Finch who he worked with on Batman: The Dark Knight, Fabok has gone on to contribute to some of DC’s biggest titles including Batman, Justice League, Detective Comics, Suicide Squad, Man of Steel, and Batman Eternal. In 2016, he joined forces with writer Geoff Johns on Justice League to deliver the critical and commercial hit, The Darkseid War. And in 2019, Fabok won an Eisner Award for Best Short Story for his work on Swamp Thing: The Talk of the Saints. In 2020, Johns and Fabok teamed up again to deliver the massive hit Batman: Three Jokers which has gone on to become one of DC's highest selling books of the decade.

  • Jason Fabok Signature fee: $90 per item

Gary Frank, a native of Bristol, England, began his comics career working on various titles for Marvel UK before entering the American comics scene as the penciller on Marvel’s Incredible Hulk. He then went to DC Comics where he was the original artist on Birds of Prey and penciled the adventures of Supergirl. He has also worked on WildStorm’s Gen13, as well as his creator-owned series Kin. Frank, along with writer Geoff Johns, worked on the bestselling titles Superman: Brainiac, Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes, Shazam!, and the New York Times #1 bestseller Batman: Earth One, as well as the landmark issue DC Universe: Rebirth #1 and its follow up, the gargantuan and ambitious Doomsday Clock. His most recent projects, still in collaboration with Johns, are Geiger and Junkyard Joe, published by Image Comics.

Bryan Hitch has been a leading creative force in American comic books for over thirty years. He has worked on characters such as G.I. Joe, Transformers, Superman and The X-Men for twelve years and also co-created The Authority with RED’S Warren Ellis. After working on DC Comics' then best-selling Justice League comics, he and Mark Millar together created the ground-breaking Marvel series, The Ultimates. Hitch and Millar created a tonal template for modernizing the classic Marvel characters known collectively as The Avengers for a general audience and it’s a direction that all the Marvel movies have since followed.

  • Bryan Hitch Signature fee: $90 per item 

Geoff Johns is an award-winning and New York Times bestselling writer, film and television producer, showrunner, and entrepreneur known for re-imagining superheroes and other iconic mythologies, past and present. Johns is best known for his work on properties such as Green Lantern, Aquaman, The Flash, Superman, Batman, Justice Society of America, and most recently, the creator-owned hit series Geiger, currently being adapted for television.

  • Geoff Johns Signature fee: $110 per item

Francis Manapul is a New York Times bestselling and award-winning artist and writer based in Toronto, Canada, best known for his work relaunching The Flash for DC Comics and following it up with the company’s namesake title, Detective Comics. He is the co-creator and artist of Clear, a Comixology Original series and was writer and artist on Trinity, which stars Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. Manapul has illustrated Justice League, Legion of Super-Heroes and Adventure Comics, and has done cover work on such titles as The Walking Dead, Shang-Chi and Green Lantern, just to name a few. 

  • Francis Manapul Signature fee: $90 per item 

Peter Snejbjerg is a Danish comic book artist. In his long and varied career, he  established himself as a prolific artist for DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint working with bestselling writers such as Neil Gaiman and Garth Ennis before moving on to DC Universe titles like Starman, JSA, and horror titles including the Hellboy-spinoff, BPRD for Dark Horse. Together with Peter J. Tomasi, he created the supernatural war story The Light Brigade. Snejbjerg has also illustrated a number of children’s books showcasing his trademark blend of dark humor and horror.

  • Peter Snejbjerg Signature fee: $75 per item

Peter J. Tomasi received the 2018 Inkpot Award for achievement in comics and is a New York Times bestselling author known for his writing on Superman, Batman and Robin, Super Sons, Green Lantern Corps, Batman-Detective Comics and many more. He is also an award winning group editor who spent 15 years at DC Comics, where he ushered in new eras for Batman, Justice Society of America, Green Lantern and the best-selling series Kingdom Come. Tomasi is the author of House of Penance, which was nominated for best graphic novel at the 2018 Angouleme International Comic Festival, Light Brigade, The Mighty, Blood Tree, and the critically acclaimed graphic novel The Bridge: The Building of the Brooklyn Bridge published by Abrams ComicArts. He also wrote the screenplay for the popular animated film, Death of Superman and his screenplay for The Bridge was on The Black List, as one of the best unproduced Hollywood scripts of that year.

  • Peter J. Tomasi Signature fee: $85 per item

Ivan Reis is one of the greatest, most admired artists in the comic-book industry and  has been active since the 1990s. He is recognized as a creative powerhouse. Reis has been a DC Comics’ exclusive artist for almost 20 years, being the main artist in big events and on modern classics such as Green Lantern, Aquaman, Superman, Blackest Night, Brightest Day and Justice League to name just a few. Some of these works are New York Times bestsellers and have influenced movies, games and animation. He has also worked on concept art for the Aquaman movie, designs for collectibles, style guides, and much more. Reis is also an associate producer and concept artist for the recently-announced Iemanjá movie from Warner Bros Brazil. 

  • Ivan Reis Signature fee: $90 per item

All CGC In-House Private Signing options for the Ghost Machine signing will include: 

  • Signature from the chosen signer(s)
  • Estimated turnaround time of six weeks for CGC grading 
  • Estimated turnaround time of eight weeks for CGC grading and CGC pressing (an additional $20 fee applies for CGC pressing)  
  • Encapsulation with the iconic yellow CGC Signature Series label

For this exclusive event, ALL CGC members, including free CGC members, can submit books directly to CGC headquarters in Sarasota, Florida. CGC must receive all submissions for this event by Friday, October 4, 2024.

If the In-House Private Signing needs to be rescheduled, CGC will securely store all submissions in its vault until the event can be rescheduled. 

After they sign the submitted books, CGC will grade and encapsulate them with an estimated turnaround time of six weeks. If CGC pressing is also requested, the turnaround time is estimated at eight weeks. After grading and encapsulation, the collectibles will be shipped back to their owners.

To submit books for the signing: 

  • Log onto your account or sign up for an account HERE.
  • Click Submit in the CGC website navigation and select Submission Forms
  • Next to Comics / Magazines, select Online Form.
  • Select Comic or Magazine from the drop-down menu, then select Private Signing and one of the following from the dropdown menu section:

  • Under Services, select Grading and, if you would like it, Pressing. Then hit Next in the top right section of the form.
  • Enter the information requested for your comic, and make sure to check the box next to BRAD ANDERSON/JASON FABOK/GARY FRANK/BRYAN HITCH/GEOFF JOHNS/FRANCIS MANAPUL/PETER SNEJBJERG/PETER J. TOMASI/IVAN REIS under Private Signing Details.
  • On the next screen, you can add one of CGC’s custom Marvel labels to your submission for qualifying books.
  • Select Add to Cart, and then repeat if there are additional books in your submission. If there are no additional books in your submission, click on the cart icon and proceed to checkout.
  • Note: If you want to submit magazines, please group them together on their own private signing form separate from comic submissions. The same rule applies for any custom labels.   • Put ALL ungraded books in window bags or they will not be accepted. 
  • Books that are already certified by CGC, including CGC Signature Series books, can be submitted for this event. CGC will remove a CGC-certified book from its holder for an additional $5 fee.
  • Carefully package books in a box for shipment. 
  • IMPORTANT: Please write GM on all sides of the outside of the box. You must initial outside of the box or we will not be able to honor the submission for this signing. 
  • Books will be received into the CGC system when they arrive and will be safely stored by CGC until the event. (Please note: Payments are processed as they normally are at the time of the collectibles’ arrival at CGC.)
  • Once books are signed, they will start an expedited CGC grading process.

All submissions must be received by CGC no later than Friday, October 4, 2024, to qualify for this private signing event. No change requests will be accepted after Friday, October 4, 2024.

Membership credits cannot be applied to CGC Private Signings.

**If you submit a CGC-graded collectible that needs to be removed from its original holder by CGC, the collectible will need to go through the certification and encapsulation process again, and there is no guarantee that it will receive the same grade.

****Marker color requests are welcome, but not guaranteed. Marker color choice and signature placement is at the final discretion of the signer.
