X-Men Voice Cast Joins CGC for an In-House Private Signing Event

CGC is thrilled to be teaming up with Unknown Comics to bring fans an In-House Private Signing Event with the sensational voice actors from the hit shows X-Men: The Animated Series and X-Men ‘97, both streaming on Disney+! Cal Dodd

Cal Dodd is an Irish-born voice actor based in Canada. He is best known for his portrayal of the Marvel Comics character Wolverine in X-Men: The Animated Series, its revival X-Men '97, and the Marvel vs. Capcom series of video games.

  • Cal Dodd Signature fee: $120 per item

Catherine Disher

Catherine Disher is known for her role as Jill Valentine in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis video game and in the Good Witch TV series and movies, portraying Martha Tinsdale, the mayor of Middleton. She also voiced Jean Grey in X-Men: The Animated Series.

  • Catherine Disher Signature fee: $120 per item

Lenore Zann

Lenore Zann is an actress who provided the voice of Rogue in various X-Men series and games. She provided voice talents in X-Men the Animated Series, X-Men 97, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2006), MegaMan: NT Warrior, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, X-Men vs. Street Fighter and more.

  • Lenore Zann Signature fee: $120 per item

Alyson Court

Alyson Court has appeared in several animated series, mostly notably as Lydia Deetz in Beetlejuice (1989–1991) and Jubilee in X-Men: The Animated Series (1992–1997). She was also the original voice of Claire Redfield in the Resident Evil franchise, voicing the character for all of her appearances from Resident Evil 2 (1998) to Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (2012). She also voiced Megan Clark in The Amazing Spiez.

Adrian Hough

Adrian Hough was born in Toronto and spent 10 years in the UK, where he trained and worked as an actor in theatre, film and television. He returned to Toronto in the 90s and went directly to work. His ability with accents and voice booked him his first audition and job in X-Men: The Animated Series as the original Nightcrawler. Adrian has since amassed over 100 television and film credits, all of them substantial roles. In 2006 Adrian played the part of Jean Grey's father in X-Men 3, becoming the only actor who has both voiced an X-Man and been in the live-action movies.

Alison Sealy-Smith

Alison Sealy-Smith is a Barbadian-born, Canadian actress who is best known for her role as Storm in various Marvel animated TV series. She provided her voice talents on projects like X-Men the Animated Series, X-Men 97, X-Men Mutant Academy, X-Men Mutant Academy 2, Silver Surfer, Sailor Moon and more.

  • Alison Sealy-Smith Signature fee: $120 per item

Matthew Waterson

Matthew Waterson is an actor and producer, known for his role of Magneto in X-Men '97 (2024), Doom Eternal (2020) and Fallout 4 (2015). He also provided his voice talents on projects like The Croods: Family Tree, Diablo IV, Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Hogwarts Legacy, Final Fantasy XV and more.

  • Matthew Waterson Signature fee: $120 per item

Holly Chou

Holly Chou is known for Blue Eye Samurai (2023), The Big Sick (2017) and her role of Jubilee in X-Men '97 (2024).

Other Signing Options

  • X-Men Group Signature fee: $460 per item

CGC currently has two active X-Men labels that are available to add on to submissions for this signing for a small additional cost.

For this exclusive event, ALL CGC members, including free CGC members, can submit books directly to CGC headquarters in Sarasota, Florida. CGC must receive all submissions for this event by Friday, October 4, 2024. 

If the In-House Private Signing needs to be rescheduled, CGC will securely store all submissions in its vault until the event can be rescheduled. 

After they sign the submitted books, CGC will grade and encapsulate them with an estimated turnaround time of six weeks. If CGC pressing is also requested, the turnaround time is estimated at eight weeks. After grading and encapsulation, the collectibles will be shipped back to their owners.

All CGC In-House Private Signing options will include: 

  • Signature from the chosen signer(s)
  • Estimated turnaround time of six weeks for CGC grading 
  • Estimated turnaround time of eight weeks for CGC grading and CGC pressing (an additional $20 fee applies for CGC pressing)
  • Encapsulation with the iconic yellow CGC Signature Series label

Submission Instructions 

For this CGC Private Signing event, you can ship submissions directly to CGC with a FREE membership. Paid memberships are also available and include additional benefits. For more information and to join, visit CGCcomics.com/join

To submit books for the signing: 

  • Log onto your account or sign up for an account HERE.
  • Click Submit in the CGC website navigation and select Submission Forms.
  • Next to Comics / Magazines, select Online Form.
  • Select Comic or Magazine from the drop-down menu, then select Private Signing and one of the following from the dropdown menu section:
    CAL DODD, SIGNATURE; CATHRINE DISHER, SIGNATURE; LENORE ZANN, SIGNATURE; ALYSON COURT, SIGNATURE; ALISON SEALY-SMITH, SIGNATURE; ADRIAN HOUGH, SIGNATURE; MATTHEW WATERSON, SIGNATURE; HOLLY CHOU, SIGNATURE; X-MEN GROUP, SIGNATURE.
  • Under Services, select Grading and, if you would like it, Pressing. Then hit Next in the top right section of the form.
  • Enter the information requested for your comic, and make sure to check the box next to X-MEN under Private Signing Details.
  • On the next screen, you can add one of CGC’s custom Marvel labels to your submission for qualifying books.
  • Select Add to Cart, and then repeat if there are additional books in your submission. If there are no additional books in your submission, click on the cart icon and proceed to checkout.
  • Note: If you want to submit magazines, please group them together on their own private signing form separate from comic submissions. The same rule applies for any custom labels.   • Put ALL ungraded books in window bags or they will not be accepted. 
  • Books that are already certified by CGC, including CGC Signature Series books, can be submitted for this event. CGC will remove a CGC-certified book from its holder for an additional $5 fee.
  • Carefully package books in a box for shipment. 
  • IMPORTANT:Please write X-MEN on all sides of the outside of the box. You must initial outside of the box or we will not be able to honor the submission for this signing. 
  • Books will be received into the CGC system when they arrive and will be safely stored by CGC until the event. (Please note: Payments are processed as they normally are at the time of the collectibles’ arrival at CGC.)
  • Once books are signed, they will start an expedited CGC grading process. 

PLEASE NOTE:

All submissions must be received by CGC no later than Friday, October 4, 2024, to qualify for this private signing event. No change requests will be accepted after Friday, October 4, 2024.

Membership credits cannot be applied to CGC Private Signings.

**If you submit a CGC-graded collectible that needs to be removed from its original holder by CGC, the collectible will need to go through the certification and encapsulation process again, and there is no guarantee that it will receive the same grade.

****Marker color requests are welcome, but not guaranteed. Marker color choice and signature placement is at the final discretion of the signer.
